Parish Matters
Parish Pastoral Council

The P.P.C. was initially formed in Sept 2001 with the following objectives:

• Assisting and advising the Parish Priest in nurturing and developing the Christian life in the parish and community.
• Co-ordinating pastoral ideas, suggestions, projects between parish, deanery and diocese.
• Building on the idea that 'we are a parish family'.
• Developing the idea of all sharing the work of the parish.
• Bringing different parish organisations and groups together when required.

The P.P.C. term runs for three years, after which elections are held that are open to all parishioners. Current Council members are:
The Parish of All Saints and English Martrys belongs to the Catholic Diocese of Nottingham. The parish comprises two churches: All Saints in Hassop, and English Martyrs in Bakewell. The resident priest, Fr. Hugh Davoren, lives in the presbytery adjacent to All Saints church. Our parishioners come from the towns and villages around Bakewell, situated in the beautiful Peak District National Park.
Charities, Organizations, and other Activities

Although we are not a particularly large parish in number, our parishioners are involved in many different charities, organizations, and other activities. The following is a break-down of duties and those parishioners responsible for them:
